Today on my lunch break I popped by the new Marc by Marc shop. I bought my old perfume and was instantly taken back in a cloud of nostalgia to the summer where I wore leotards all day, went out dancing every night, and mostly survived on a diet of mr. freeze ice lollies, microchip sandwiches, vodka, and hopeless crushes.
I'm checking out
Pam Hogg's pop up boutique tomorrow. 2006 me would be all over her catsuits. 2009 me would basically not even be able to squeeze into one... er, if I ever want to wear a leotard again I am going to have to do some exercise... cos, let's face it, giving up KFC is NOT an option.
I've narrowed it down to 5 possibilities
1. Tap Lessons at Pineapple with JessCost - £10 a week, a pair of tap shoes...
Likelihood of me actually doing it: 8/10
Downside: I will use this as an excuse to buy a ridiculous amount of dancewear. If I've had a few drinks I will force people to watch me practice my tap dancing... actually, I do this already, drunk AND sober... so I guess it wouldn't make much of a difference except that I would now know some moves... OK... NO DOWNSIDE... We're doing this next Tuesday.
2. Swimming before work
Cost - I'm not sure because the East Dulwich swimming pool website is crap... probably a few quid a go - and a one off cost of buying a swimsuit, goggles, and maaaaaaaybe a Marc Jacobs swimming cap.
Likelihood of me actually doing it: 5/10 - I love swimming but do NOT love getting up early.
Downside: Waking up early and smelling like chlorine all the time.
3. Wii FitCost - ~£250
Likelihood of me actually doing it: 10/10 if someone bought one for me.
Downside: I'm just as likely to spend all night playing Zelda and eating pizza instead of, yknow, doing Yoga and imaginary hula hoop. Also, expensive.
4. DDR Machine
Since the age of 16 when I first discovered Dance Dance Revolution on the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk it has been my DREAM to have my own personal DDR machine in my house. In second year of uni it's quite possible that Mark and I spent more time playing DDR in the UGC arcade than we did attending lectures. The playstation version and a crappy plastic dance mat will NOT do. It has to be the actual machine. (That's a photo of me btw)
Cost - over £1000
Likelihood of me actually doing it: 10/10 if I had the machine.
Downside: Too expensive. No space in my studio apartment. I would never leave the house.
5. Personal TrainerPreferably Andy Samberg, dressed like this:

I think if I moved to New York I could make this happen for free?
